Spring Arbor University considers for transfer credit, college-level coursework that has been completed at a degree-granting college or university holding accreditation or candidacy status with a recognized national or regional accrediting association according to the American Council on Education (ACE).

The university will accept transfer credit that applies to a student’s program, with a maximum of 68 semester credits coming from a two-year or community college. Students may complete a Transfer Approval Request form (available on our forms page) to receive written approval for transfer. Review our transfer guides to help you in your planning.

Courses with a grade below “C” (2.0) will not be accepted for transfer. Courses graded with “P” (Pass) or “CR” (Credit) will not transfer unless institutional policy states that “P” or “CR” is equivalent to at least a 2.0. Courses numbered below 100 are not considered for transfer.

Spring Arbor University is a signatory member in the MACRAO Transfer Agreement. The intent of the agreement is to insure that a student who completes an associate in arts degree at a signatory community college will have satisfied the basic two-year requirements of the signatory four-year college upon transfer to the four-year institution.

“MACRAO Agreement Satisfied” must be stamped on the community college transcript, verifying that the student has met the terms of the agreement. A student who has not met the MACRAO Agreement upon transfer is subject to all Spring Arbor University academic requirements current at the time of matriculation.
